Pauline A. Hecht
Pauline A. Hecht, age 88, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Life Care Center of Sullivan.
Pauline Adeline was born on March 25, 1929 to the late Charles T. and Nora A. (Strauser) Lawrence on their family farm near Boone Creek. She grew up and attended country schools, as well as Sullivan High School. Pauline was united in marriage to James Politte in 1945 and they were blessed with two sons, James “Ron” and Kenneth Politte. While raising her family, Pauline was employed by Midwest Footwear and she retired from there after nearly 20 years of service. On November 30, 1962, Pauline was united in marriage to Glen Hecht in Miami, OK and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Glen and Pauline enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed time spent in Arizona. Pauline was known for her very witty personality. She loved flowers, quilting, garage sales and her treasured children and grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Glen Hecht of Sullivan; two sons, James “Ron” Politte (wife, Debra) of Defiance, MO and Kenneth “Kenny” Politte (wife, Vicki) of Sullivan, MO; special niece, Janice Landwehr (husband, Mel) of Sullivan; one brother, Vernon “Blackie” Lawrence of Lake City, FL; one sister-in-law, BeBe Lawrence of Fenton, MO; seven grandchildren, Kurt Politte (fiancé, Stacy Dahms) of Sullivan, Jason Politte (wife, Terri) of Wentzville, MO, Matthew Politte (wife, Mina) of Wentzville, MO, Micah Politte of St. Charles, MO, David Politte of Sullivan, Jan Blankenship of Sullivan and Jill Tate of Sullivan; 11 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Trey, Gabby, Mia, Isabella, Eli, Alanna, Chazeray, Kennedy and Carter; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Kale, Kori and Carson; great niece, Amy Gozia (husband, Donnie) of Leslie, MO; great nephew, Greg Landwehr (wife, Wendy) of Sullivan; many extended family members and friends.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Charles T. and Nora A. (Strauser) Lawrence; three brothers, Joseph, Ted and Sherlie “Shug” Lawrence; three sisters, Helen Scheman, Velma Turnbull and Audrey Thurmond.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Funeral Services were conducted 1 p.m., Thursday, at the Eaton Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Lahmann officiating. Interment followed in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan.
