Pauline Harris

Pauline Harris, 90, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Pauline Barbara was born on December 25, 1927 to Leo and Anna Friesenhan in Bourbon, MO, one of seven daughters. She grew up and graduated from Bourbon High School. She was united in marriage to Hubbard Douglas Harris in Dothan, AL and two children were born, Douglas and Sharon. Pauline and Hubbard lived in Panama City, FL, where Pauline was employed in the flight records departments in civil service for 19 years. She later operated The Town Tavern in Bourbon. Pauline was an avid soap opera fan, especially the Young and the Restless, and she also enjoyed going to The Town Tavern with her sisters. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Pauline will be laid to rest beside her son, Douglas, in Hill Cemetery where she served as president for many years.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Calvin) Studdard of Sullivan; two grandchildren; Clarisa (Aron) Hulsey and Crista (Ron) Parker all of Sullivan; six great-grandchildren, Christian, Scarlett, Crimson and Samuel Hulsey, Bella, Sydney and soon to be Asher Parker; one sister, Marge Killian of Bourbon; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Harris; her parents, Leo and Anna Friesenhan; her ex-husband, Hubbard Harris; five sisters, Francis Voss, Helen Merkel, Marie Davis, Catherine Schroeder and Rose Bidner.

Funeral Services were conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with interment in Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, MO.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
