Paul Harmon

Paul Harmon, Sr., of Bourbon, MO, was born on Monday, December 2, 1935 in Butts, MO to Elmer Harmon and Florence Doss Harmon. He passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the age of 82 years, 1 month, and 30 days.

Paul worked at the Pea Ridge Iron Ore Mines until they closed, then became a brick layer. He also, worked at the Brown Shoe factory in Steelville, MO, Midwest Shoe Industry and then later several years for MFA in Sullivan, MO, where he retired. He married Betty J. Harmon on September 30, 1977 in Sullivan, MO. He enjoyed coon and coyote hunting, riding his horses, especially in horse shows. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Harmon and Florence Harmon (Art) Rawlings; parents-in-law Willis and Alice Hanebery; sons-in-law Michael Garrett and Jim Brown; sisters Wilma Petrungaro and Imogene Harmon; brother John Harmon; brothers-in-law Harvey Compton and Roger McMahon.

He is survived by his wife Betty J. Harmon of Bourbon, MO; son "Bud" Paul (Patti) Harmon, Jr. of Stanton, MO; daughters Sheila Brown of Cuba, MO, Faye Garrett of Cape Girardeau, MO, Pauline (Steve) Blankenship of Sullivan, MO, and Debbie (Greg) Anderson of Quincy, MO; step-son Michael (Henrietta) Walker of Rio Rancho, NM; step-daughter Jeannie (Scott) Kean of St. James, MO; sisters Norma Compton of Potosi, MO, Geraldine McMahon of Sullivan, MO, and Joyce (Kenny) Snyder of Cape Girardeau, MO; brother-in-law Carmen Petrungaro of Sullivan, MO; 22 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. and Funeral Service at 3 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Rev. Jerry Compton officiating. Memorials may be given to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010.
