Paul Gene Blesi, Jr.

Paul Gene Blesi, Jr., age 65 of Sullivan, MO, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Gene as he was known by family and friends was born on June 3, 1952 to Paul Gene Blesi, Sr. and Geraldine (Hollander) Blesi in St. Louis, MO. He attended and graduated from Sullivan High School class of 1970. Gene served his country in the National Guard. He was employed in the family shoe business, first at Mid- West Footwear and later at Mid America Shoe Corporation. Gene was united in marriage to Kathleen Lynch on April 24, 1982 in St. Louis. He was also a gentleman farmer and had cattle on the family farm in Spring Bluff. Gene loved music, playing the piano, dancing, cooking and his cats. He and Kathy attended St. Anthony Catholic Church for the last 35 years. He will be remembered for his fun loving personality and gentle spirit.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Lynch) Blesi of Sullivan; three sisters, Susan McNary and husband Gene of Chesterfield, MO, Betsy Bryan of Chesterfield, Lisa Breer and husband Michael of St. Louis, one sister in law, Patrice Lynch-Wood and husband Dennis Wood of St. Louis; four nieces; four nephews; great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Gene Blesi, Sr. and Geraldine (Hollander) Blesi.

Funeral services were conducted at 12 (noon) Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Father Paul Telken officiating. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Sullivan, MO.

Visitation was held from 9 a.m.-12 (noon) at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
