Patricia L. Lucas

Patricia Lou Lucas, age 81, of Sullivan, MO passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO. 

Patricia Lou, known as Pat, was born on November 12, 1936 in Farmington, MO, to the late Williard and Pearl O. (Rickard) Thurman. She grew up and attended school in Farmington. She graduated High School in 1954. Pat was united in marriage to James R. Lucas on June 9, 1955 in Farmington. They resided in Farmington for a brief time before coming to Sullivan. Pat worked as a Clerk for various stores in Sullivan and retired from Wal-Mart in 1998. She was an avid reader, loved music (especially singing and playing piano), gardening and antiquing. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. Pat will be missed dearly by her family and friends. 

Pat is survived by her husband, James R. Lucas of Sullivan; one daughter, Jean Poetzl and husband Rob of Bourbon; two grandchildren, Tracy Carollo and wife Jessica of Sullivan and Travis Carollo and wife Lauren of Sullivan; five great-grandchildren, Rory, Asher and Ainsley Carollo and Aubrey and Lucca Carollo; one nephew, Harlan Adams and wife Evelyn; one niece, Sally Simpson and husband Jim; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Pearl O. (Rickard) Thurman; and two sisters, Doris Pettis and Arletta Adams.

Funeral Services were conducted 12 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Lew Ensor as the officiant. Interment followed in Bourbon Cemetery in Bourbon, MO.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home.
