Pat O’Daniel King
Pat O. King, 73, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital Fenton due to natural causes.
Pat O’Daniel King was born on November 10, 1943 to the late Perry and Virginia (Keech) King in Pocahontas, AR. He grew up and graduated from Pocahontas High School in Arkansas. After graduation, Pat moved to the St. Louis area, where he met his future wife, Cecilia Vivrett. Pat and Cecilia had two beautiful daughters, Brenda and Angela. They started their family in Fenton, MO and later, relocated to Sullivan. Pat worked at Sullivan Precision Metal and later, Ozark Mountain technologies in Cuba, from which he retired. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting with his brother-in-law, Doug and on Saturday mornings, he could always be found at the Bobber Café drinking coffee with his buddies. Pat was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed entering his ’68 Camaro in car shows. Above all, he took pride in caring for his home and family. Pat loved his kids and grandkids and cherished time with his family and in the outdoors barbequing. He was known to cook a “mean” pork steak. Pat will be missed dearly by his family and closest friends.
Pat is survived by his wife, Cecilia (Vivrett) King; two daughters, Brenda Barch (King) of Sullivan, MO and Angela Craft (King)of Cuba, MO; one brother, Keith Sutton and wife Stephanie of Pocahontas, AR; four grandchildren, Daniel Sappington of Chicago, IL; Hanna Barch of Sullivan, MO; Katelynn Craft of Cuba, MO and Megan Wriley of Cuba, MO; one great-grandson, Hunter Andrews of Sullivan, MO; other relatives and many friends.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Perry D. and Virginia L. (Keech) King; one brother, Jerry King and one great-grandson, Diego Barch.
A Memorial Service was conducted 1 p.m., Friday September 8, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO with Pastor John Blackmore officiating.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday September 8, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
