Nancy Louise (Mansell) Cain

Nancy Louise (Mansell) Cain, 78, of Washington, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri. Nancy was born on July 28, 1942 and raised in St. Louis, Missouri to Paul and Theodora (Hapgood) Mansell. She was united in marriage to James Cain in June 1972 and they spent 14 wonderful years together before he passed. Nancy was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Washington, Missouri where she was very passionate about her relationship with our Lord and Savior.

She served our Military in the Navy before being honorably discharged in 1964. Nancy then spent her years working at Dr. Kline’s office and the Sullivan, Missouri Montessori where she was very passionate about teaching children. Nancy loved spending time with her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, playing computer games, and donating to many charitable service organizations. She never knew a stranger, never ever complained, and had a smile that would brighten any room. Nancy will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her three children, daughter Candy Grosman and husband Joe of St. Louis, MO, son Pete Nonnenkamp and wife Galatia of Valrico, FL, and daughter Robin Nonnenkamp of Washington, MO. Her beloved grandchildren, Christine Schembri and fiancé Paul, Tyler King and wife Amber, Ben Grosman, Tiffini Lorenz and husband Ryan, Gary Nonnenkamp, Matthew Nonnenkamp, and Drew Holzem. Great-grandchildren, Owen Lorenz, Harper Hausman, Hudson Lorenz, and Carter King. Her siblings, Jacque Mansell of Pacific, MO, Charles Mansell and wife Joyce of St. Louis, MO and Matthew Mansell and wife Sherry of Pacific, MO. Many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Theodora Mansell, husband, James Cain, son, Gary Cain and brother, William “Bill” Priest.

Visitation for 78-year-old Nancy was held Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, MO.

Funeral Service was held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 12 p.m. at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The Cain family is served by Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, MO.
