Nadine Gregory

Nadine Gregory of Cuba, MO, was born on Monday, March 14, 1938 in Cherryville, MO, to the union of Pearl Otto and Martha Hannah (Hopwood) Collins. She left from this life on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Life Care Center in Waynesville, MO at the age of 80 years.

Nadine married Fred A. Gregory and they spent 57 years together. To this union four children were born Marie, Edward, Raymond and Stella Louise. 

Nadine worked for several years as a waitress at the Dutch Barn Restaurant and later as a cook at the Cuba Senior Center. She was a longtime devout member of Delhi Baptist Church and she taught Sunday school for many years. Nadine served on the Delhi Cemetery board, was a member of the Three Mile Extension Club and she was always active at the Cuba Senior Center. 

In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, embroidery, antiquing and gardening. Spending time with her family and friends was what she treasured the most.

Nadine is preceded in death by her parents Pearl Otto and Martha Hannah (Hopwood) Collins; husband Fred A. Gregory; ten brothers and sisters Osco, Audine, Lynton, Howard, Hadley, Maxine, Larene, Rose Marie, Richard and Nancy Darlene; one great-grandson Davin Brown.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her four children Marie and husband Jim Brown of Stoutland, MO. Edward and wife Pamela Gregory of Brandenburg, KY, Raymond Gregory of Stoutland, MO, Stella Louise and husband Steve Baker of Milton, FL; twelve grandchildren Clif, Eric, Chase, Heather, Taylor, Ryan, Brandon, Paul, Daniel, Hannah, Austin and Hillary; one brother Kenneth Dale and wife Mary Collins of Cuba, MO; one sister Violet and husband Carl Bergner of Cuba, MO; one aunt Dorothy Hopwood of Bourbon, MO; twenty-two great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives friends.

Visitation was Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Joe Bruno officiating.

Interment and prayers will follow at Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, MO.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association, Delhi Cemetery or Cuba Senior Center.

The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Gregory family.
