Maureen Elizabeth Ann Cios

Maureen Cios, 77, of Bourbon, MO, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her home.

Maureen was born on June 16, 1940 to the late David and Mary (Cheek) Smith in White Notley, England. After being raised in England, Maureen moved to the United States in 1962. She resided in the Sullivan/Bourbon area. Maureen was united in marriage to Ronald Cios on November 5, 1976 in Sullivan, MO. In 1977, she moved to Utah and lived there for many years. She worked as a clerk for 7-11 and Chevron and trained many people there. She loved her four dogs: Tink, Fred, Tootsie and grand-dog Sam. Maureen enjoyed yardselling and attending auctions. She will be missed by her family and closest friends.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Ronald Cios; four children, Maryanne Nelson and husband Kenneth of TN; Leslie Anderson and husband Darin of Tooele, UT; Sherry Cios; Rhonda Miller and husband Kenny; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters in England; many more relatives and friends that will miss her.

Maureen was preceded in death by two children, Karen Easterly and Dawn Smith; her parents, David and Mary (Cheek) Smith; one brother, Clive Smith; and her mother and father-in-law, Alfreda and Tony Cios.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday October 20, 2017 at the American Legion Post 81, 249 College St., Bourbon, MO 65441.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association or to an association for the Cure on behalf of Maureen are appreciated.
