Martha Naomi Studdard

Martha Naomi Studdard, age 90, of Brazoria, TX, previously of Sullivan, MO, passed away at her home on Monday, October 7, 2019.

Martha was born on March 13, 1929 at Sullivan, MO, the daughter of Willis G. and Melvina Pearl (Schoonover) Brown. She spent most of her life in Sullivan. Martha worked as a telephone operator for Fidelity for many years. She retired in the late 1980’s. Over the years, Martha was blessed with five children: Jimmy, Buddy, Janice, Linda and Debbie. She spent her last years near her daughters in Texas.

Martha loved being with her family, as well as her dogs, Missy and Teddy. She also loved quilting and making jewelry with her friends. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.

Martha is survived by four children: Janice Schuster of Lake Jackson, TX, Linda Todd of Bourbon, MO, Debbie Bell and husband, Tommy, of Brazoria, TX, and Buddy Higgins (Shelly Eugelmeier) of Bourbon, MO; one sister, Julia Duncan and husband, Stan, of Jefferson City, MO; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, step-siblings, numerous nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jacob Lahmann; second husband, Bud Higgins; third husband, Pascal “Pat” Studdard; one son, Jimmy Lahmann; her parents, Willis and Melvina (Schoonover) Brown; one grandson, Jerome Schuster; and one brother, Floyd Brown.

Funeral Services were conducted 12 Noon, Monday, October 14, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Chester Lahmann as the officiant. Burial followed at Reedville Cemetery in Sullivan.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon, Monday, at the Eaton Funeral Home.
