Mark A. Lawrence

Mark A. Lawrence, age 54, of St. Clair, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at his home.

Mark Allen was born on April 9, 1964 in Sullivan, Missouri, the son of Lester Benjamin and Loraine Delores (Schuler) Lawrence. They lived in Bourbon, then St. Louis, until the family moved to Anaconda in 1970, when Mark was still the tender age of 5. Mark graduated from St. Clair High School, Class of 1983. As a young man, he was united in marriage and was blessed to have four daughters. He worked at Flooring Installation and then was a cook at Coaches in St. Clair. Mark was well known for 25 years of carpeting and flooring in the local area and was employed by Spindler’s Flooring in Sullivan, MO, Decor & More in Union, MO, and L & S Ent. out of Steelville, MO.

Mark loved hunting and guns and was an experienced, excellent hunter, and trapper from a young age. He also enjoyed nature and animals and had a love for the Rocky Mountains. He also enjoyed astronomy. Mark was a wonderful, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends.

Mark is survived by four daughters, Emilee Lawrence and fiancé, Keith Davis, of Sullivan, MO, Elizabeth Lawrence and boyfriend, John Maierhoffer, of Sullivan, MO, Elainey Lawrence of Sullivan, MO, and Ellie Lawrence of Sullivan, MO; 2 grandchildren, Mason Burks of Sullivan, MO, and Ember Reeves of Sullivan, MO; special friend & “second father,” Merle Spindler of Sullivan, MO; a brother, Steven B. Lawrence and wife, Jan, of Colona, IL; a sister, Debra A. Lawrence-Redlin and husband, Jeffery, of Aurora, CO; lots of nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester B. and Loraine D. Lawrence; and one sister, Darlene Delores Lawrence.

Services may be held at a later date in the spring.
