Margaret Ann Price

Margaret Ann Price, 81, of Bourbon, MO, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at her home, with her daughter, Laura and granddaughter, Melanie by her side.

Margaret Ann was born on March 24, 1936 to the late Louis E. Hankins and Annie L. Holland in Gleason, TN. Margaret’s family moved to St. Louis, MO while she was still a young girl and she attended school in St. Louis. On May 24, 1954, Margaret was united in marriage to Luther Price. To this union, seven children were born. She was a homemaker and raised her family. In 2012, Luther preceded Margaret in death.

Margaret enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and playing bingo; she also loved collecting ducks. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Margaret will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Margaret is survived by five children, Cindy L. Price of St. James, MO; Tim Price and wife Debbie of Waterloo, IL; Louis Price and wife Terri of St. Clair, MO; Laura Schmidtke and husband Leroy of Bourbon, MO; Luke Price and wife Mary of St. Ann, MO; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Roper; Sandra Wehner and husband Tommy of Sullivan, MO; other relatives and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Price; her father, Louis Hankins; her mother, Anna L. (Holland) Carey; and her two sons, Bruce and Jeff Price.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2017 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan, MO.
