Magdalena Lorenscheit

Magdalena Lorenscheit, 85, of Bourbon, MO, passed away on July 2, 2017 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, MO.

Magdalena was born on May 28, 1932 to Christian and Gertrude (Kramer) Wypych in Muffendorf, Germany. She was united in marriage to Gunther Lorenscheit in Germany and they immigrated to the United States together on November 10, 1962. They began their home in St. Louis and then in 1981, moved to the Sullivan area. Following the death of her husband, twenty-one years ago, Magdalena moved in with her daughter and son-in-law and has been enjoying family time. Their friends even referred to her as “mom”. Magdalena enjoyed cooking, gardening and their family pets. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Magdalena is survived by her daughter, Marion Laskowitz and husband Randy of Bourbon, MO; and one nephew, Axel Julicher in Germany.

Magdalena was preceded in death by her husband, Gunther Lorenscheit; her parents, Christia and Gertrude (Kramer) Wypych; twin sister, Maria Julicher and brother, Hans Wypych.

Graveside services were conducted 11 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at Bourbon Cemetery in Bourbon, MO.

Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
