Lloyd “Red” Edward Hodges

Lloyd “Red” Edward Hodges, son of the late Edd Hodges and Ora Smith, was born in Greeley, Missouri, on November 9, 1936. He departed this life  at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri, on October 8, 2020, at the age of 83.

On September l , 1962, in Esther, Missouri, Lloyd was united in marriage to Rebecca Morrjs. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Lloyd was a member of the Adam Bethel Church in Courtois, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards and pool, digging roots, and walking his dog. Lloyd’s greatest joy was spending time at the creek with his kids and grandkids.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Vernon Hodge, and four sisters, Geneva Wisdom, Marie Ball, Mildred Evans and Bernice Wisdom.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hodges of Potosi, Missouri, two sons, Lloyd W. Hodges of Potosi, Missouri, and Steven Hodges and wife Heather of Dixon, Missouri, one daughter, Eva Hodges of Bunker, Missouri, one brother, Doyle Hodge of Bunker, Missouri, four sisters, Betty Barton of Bunker, Missouri, Daphne Davis of Washington, Missouri, Eva Jane Widger of Rolla, Missouri, and Patty Wakefield of Bismarck, Missouri, six grandchildren, Shannan M. French, Anthony W. Hodges, Cheyenne R. Davis, Evan T. Deckard, Nolan T. Deckard, and Vivian Rosemary 0. Hodges, and two great-grandchildren, James Parker French and Avery Collins French. Lloyd will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn his passing.
