Linda A. Usery
Linda A. Usery, age 70 of Stanton, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Linda Ann was born on November 4, 1947 to George P. Weppner and Charlotte M. (Batchler) Weppner Austin in Sullivan, Missouri. As a young woman, while raising her children, Linda worked as a waitress at various restaurants in the area; however, she spent many of her working years at Meramec Group and she retired from there in 2014. On June 2, 2001 Linda was united in marriage to Edward Usery and together they enjoyed 16 years of marriage. Linda was a hardworking woman who loved her family; she was strong willed but loving and generous. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and attending concerts (especially Paul McCartney concerts) with her beloved husband, Edward. Linda was the life of the party and could light up a room with her smile and personality. A wonderful wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma, Linda will be forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Linda was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Sullivan.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Usery of Stanton, MO; five children, Kathy Wilhelm (Ted) of Gerald, MO; Bill Weppner (Michelle) of Greer, SC; Laura Cannon (Davidson) of Union, MO; Justin Usery of Sullivan, MO and Eric Usery (Tara) of Sullivan, MO; seven grandchildren, Michael Weppner, Stephen King, Cody Weppner, Liam Usery, Alexis Weppner, Alyssa Wilhelm, Jaden Usery and Emma Usery; two great-grandchildren, Kyrstin and Haylie King; one brother, Wayne Weppner (Betty) of Sullivan, MO; two sisters, Ruth Nevills of Carthage, MO and Betty Sue Walsh (Maple) of Sullivan, MO; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, George Weppner and Charlotte (Batchler) Weppner Austin.
Visitation was held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Sullivan.
Funeral Services were conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Sullivan with Pastor Chester Lahmann officiating. Interment followed in Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
