Leona Parker Roller

Leona Parker Roller, 75, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Sullivan.

Norma “Leona” Parker was born in Sullivan, MO, September 25, 1945, to William Edward and Gladine Margaret (Dilks) Parker. She attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, Class of 1964. Leona was united in marriage to Matthew Roller on September 25, 1999 and they were blessed with 21 years of marriage. Leona was employed by the former Von Wise Geer Corporation in St. Clair for many years. She worked in the machine shop until retiring in 2002.

Family was everything to Leona. She loved her daughter and enjoyed spending time with her. She was also very close to her nieces and nephews. Leona enjoyed listening to music and was a great dancer. She was a long-time member of Cave Spring Baptist Church, where she attended her entire life. Leona leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness to her family, church family and many friends. She will never be forgotten by those she loved and those who loved her in return.

Leona is survived by her husband, Matthew Roller, of Sullivan, MO; one daughter, Kimberly McCubbins and husband, Michael, of Sullivan, MO; one brother, William Parker, of Sullivan, MO; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladine Parker; two sisters, Neoma Cross and Lenner Fern Parker; and one brother, Edward Lee Parker.

Funeral services was held at 12 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Brian Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Spring Cemetery – Sullivan.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, prior to the funeral service at Eaton Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions in Leona’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
