Lawrence “Butch” Hickey, 62, of Bourbon, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 5, 2020.

Butch was born at Saint Mary’s Hospital in East St. Louis, IL, February 23, 1958, to Lawrence and Betty (Milic) Hickey. He was united in marriage to Penny Miller on July 12, 1984, in Little Rock, AR. Butch loved to help others and enjoyed life in general. His favorite things to do were gardening, long rides in the country, fishing and walking his dogs.

Butch loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed all the time he got to spend with them. He will be dearly missed.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Penny Hickey; a son, Brian Baker-Hickey and wife, Jessica; a daughter, Lindsay Marie Hickey Muzzy; his father, Lawrence Hickey Sr.; three grandchildren: Brooke, Montana and Matt; a cousin, Jane Walchli; and many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Hickey; grandfather, John Hickey; and one aunt, Vivian Milic.

Burial, with Military Honors, were held 1 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
