Larry Blue

Larry Blue, age 67, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

Larry Wayne was born on April 2, 1951 in rural Phelps County, MO, to Eugene Lloyd and Velma Katherine (Vitzthum) Blue. He grew up in the Maplewood area and attended and graduated Maplewood High School, Class of 1969. As a young man, Larry moved to Colorado to work various jobs.Larry was united in marriage to Clarita McCorkle on November 23, 1973, and together, they had two sons, Scott and Tony. Larry and his family moved to Bourbon in 1984. In 2008, Larry started his own business, Blue Boyz Trucking.Larry enjoyed tinkering on projects, riding motorcycles and car racing.  He was also known to be a good cook.

Larry is survived by two sons, Scott Blue and wife Misty of Rogersville, MO, and Tony Blue and wife Angie of Bourbon, MO; five grandchildren, Dillon, Megan, Madison, Ali and Chase Blue; two brothers, Ken Blue and wife Nova of Bourbon, and Jim Blue of Huson, MT; one sister, Joyce Bennett of Sullivan, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarita (McCorkle) Blue; his parents, Eugene and Velma (Vitzthum) Blue; one brother, Perry Blue and his wife, Judyee Blue.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor John Blackmore officiating. Interment will follow in Rolla City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Wednesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions, in memory of Larry, may be given to the Patriot Guard or the Mulitple Sclerosis (MS) Foundation.
