Kay Lorraine Beckmann nee Shoemaker, 57, of Sullivan, passed away September 8, 2018 at her home.

Kay was born August 29, 1961 in Washington to the union of Kenneth Shoemaker and Blanche nee Immell.

In 1973 Kay would be Baptized at the 1st Baptist Church in Washington.

Kay attended Washington High School and was in the graduating class of 1980.

She was united in marriage to Stephen Beckmann on May 12, 1984 in Washington.

She worked for Hazel Manufacturing in Washington for 20 years and True Manufacturing in Pacific for 16 years.

Kay enjoyed camping, crafting, sewing, quilting, painting, tending to her plants and flowers, finding treasures by antiquing, dancing, laughing, cooking for friends and family, bicycling, and visiting wineries but most of all Kay loved spending time with her family and friends.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Blanche Shoemaker and one sister, Connie Shoemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Beckmann; one son, John Beckmann of Sullivan; one daughter, Sarah Price and husband Scott of Washington; one brother, Kurt Shoemaker and girlfriend Melissa Robinson of Labadie; two sisters, Patricia Scott of Belton and Joyce Neithardt of Washington.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union. Funeral service was held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union. Interment at Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union. Visitwww.midlawn.com for an online register book.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are preferred.
