Judy A. Hicks

Judy A. Hicks, age 70, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan. 

Judy Ann was born on October 5, 1949 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Aud and Margaret Louise (Ledford) Teal. She grew up and attended school in Pattonville, MO, and was in the graduating class of 1968. Judy was united in marriage to Jim Hicks, Sr. on May 2, 1970 in St. Louis. To their union, three children were born:  Jim Jr., Jaime and Jesseca. Together, they raised their family in St. Louis County. Jim worked in the concrete industry, while Judy stayed home and took care of their family. Jim passed away in 1999 after battling cancer. Judy was very involved in raising her grandchildren. In 2015, she moved to Sullivan to be near her son, Jim. Through the years, Judy enjoyed spending time outdoors with her husband, Jim, including hunting together. She also enjoyed cooking for Jim, crocheting and she loved plants. Judy will be missed by her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her children: Jim Hicks, Jr. and wife, Hollie, of Sullivan, MO, Jaime Bennett and husband, Eric, of Troy, MO, and Jesseca Willard and husband, Gabe, of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren: James Hicks III, Autumn Hicks, Seth Bennett, Kyia Bennett, Sidney Willard and Madison Willard; two brothers, Larry Teal of Pennsylvania and Dennis Teal and wife, Linda, of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hicks, Sr.; and her parents, Aud and Margaret Teal.

Cremation will take place with no services being held at this time.
