Judy A. Brown

Judy A. Brown, age 77, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO.

Junice Allen was born December 15, 1940 in St. Louis, the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle (Dean) Floyd. As a young girl, her family moved to southeast Missouri, where she grew up and attended school. Judy married Donald Brown on June 30, 1968 in Bloomfield, MO. Together, they raised their family in St. Charles, where Don was employed with McDonnell-Douglas.  After his retirement, they moved to Sullivan in 1993.  After coming to Sullivan, Judy became involved helping at local schools and was an active member of Temple Baptist Church. She was very active in helping cook Wednesday night dinners for the church and made homemade rolls. Judy also enjoyed making wedding cakes in years past.  In recent years, as her health began to fail, she loved watching western movies. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years, Don Brown; four children: James Varnon and wife Abby of St. Peters, MO, Joseph Brown and wife Belinda of Marble Hill, MO, Victoria Gowen of St. Charles, MO and Lesa Meadows and husband Bill of Woodburn, IN; two sisters, Evelyn Crump of Bloomfield, MO and Eva Dixon of Dupo, IL; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Connie Tummnia and Jacklyn Jones; a brother, Harry Floyd; and a sister, Nadine Swope.

Funeral Services were conducted 1 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment followed in Cave Spring Cemetery in Sullivan. 

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, at Temple Baptist Church.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the Temple Baptist Church MRT Fund.
