Judith L. (Baker) Corethers, age 71 of Sullivan, MO passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at her home.

Judith Lynn was born on May 19, 1948 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Donald J. and Alice (Williamson) Baker. She attended Sullivan Schools and was in the graduating class of 1967. Judith was united in marriage to Ed Corethers and they made their home in the Potosi area. Ed preceded her in death. Judith was employed as a Dietary Manager at several nursing homes including, Life Care Center and Meramec Nursing Center. She also worked for Missouri Baptist Hospital in the dietary department. She really enjoyed cooking for the residents at the nursing homes and believed they deserved the best home cooked meals she could provide. Judith was an avid reader, she enjoyed her cats, gardening, and birdwatching. She was a wonderful cook and taught her grandchildren the love of cooking. She will be missed by her family and many friends. 

Judith is survived by two sons, David Dixon and wife, Tabatha, of Potosi, MO, and Pastor Brian Dixon and wife, Krista, of Sullivan, MO; four grandchildren, Sable Dixon and fiancé, Andrew Weiss, of Washington, MO, Sierra Bucher and husband, Chad, of Sullivan, MO, Sophia Dixon of Sullivan, MO, and David Paul Dixon of Potosi, MO; one sister, Susan Hinson and husband, Richard, of St. Clair, MO; sister-in-law, Patricia Baker of Sullivan, MO; cousins, Gene Williamson, Tony Cannole, and Bill and Sandy Figge; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Paul Dixon; second husband, Ed Corethers; her parents, Donald and Alice (Williamson) Baker; one brother, Doug Baker; and one cousin, Jody Williamson. 

Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Brian Dixon as the officiant. Interment followed in New Rock Cemetery in Bourbon.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2019 and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., on Tuesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
