Joyce M. Beers

Joyce M. Beers, 66, of Sullivan, MO passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Joyce Marie McDaniel was born on August 1, 1951 to Darrell E. and Maud E. (Weber) McDaniel in St. Louis, MO. She attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1969. Joyce was united in marriage to Ralph Beers and they were blessed with one son, Darrell. Joyce was later divorced; however, they remained friends. Joyce was employed at Pacer for many years and most recently by Rexam (which was then purchased by Silgan). She worked for Silgan for the past 20 years and retired from there just over a year ago. Joyce loved her family, especially her grandson, Kadenn. She enjoyed Bingo trips to Oklahoma and Mississippi, bargain shopping, gardening and working in her yard. Joyce loved her fur baby, Moose, who was her devoted companion to the end.

Joyce is survived by her son, Darrell Beers (Stacey) of Sullivan, MO; her grandson, Kadenn Beers; one brother, Ron McDaniel (Becky) of Union, MO; other relatives and many friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Maud (Weber) McDaniel.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2018 with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m., all at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Mr. Duke West officiating.

Memorials contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital are appreciated.
