Joyce Elaine Campbell
Joyce E. Campbell, 80, of Bourbon, MO, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Washington.
Joyce was born on May 24, 1937 to the late Homer and Nellie (Edwards) McEuen in Sullivan, MO. Joyce grew up to be a very family oriented and charitable person. She met her future husband at Meramec Caverns and at age twenty, she was united in marriage to John Campbell in Sullivan. Joyce became a Christian at an early age. For fifty years, she was a faithful member of the Bourbon/Sullivan Seventh Day Adventist Churches. Joyce was a full-time homemaker. For seventeen years, Joyce volunteered for the Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Ladies Auxiliary; which she enjoyed very much. She also enjoyed reading and traveling. Joyce will be missed by her family and closest friends.
Joyce is survived by five children, James Campbell and wife Sharon of Summerville, SC; Richard Campbell and wife Tonya of Haileyville, OK; Nelda Shafer and husband Todd of Muskogee, OK; John Campbell, Jr. and wife Christine of Bourbon, MO and Karl Campbell of Bourbon, MO; ten grandchildren, Andrea Campbell, James Campbell, Madison Campbell, Aaron Campbell and wife Kristina, Kyle Shafer, Nicole Schafer, Samantha Schafer, Tareva Campbell, Matthew Campbell and Jesse Campbell; seven great-grandchildren and one more on the way, Kylie, Eric, Evan, Colt, Axton, Brixton and Camden; one brother, Bill McEuen of Bourbon, MO; other relatives and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Nellie (Edwards) McEuen and two sisters, JoAnn Declue and Shirley McEuen.
Funeral services were conducted 12 Noon, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO with Pastor Jody Dickhaut officiating.
Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
