Josephine M. Stachowicz, age 88, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan.

Josephine Marie was born on February 18, 1931 in Caspian, MI, the daughter of Leo and Lena (Pedron) Pangrazzi. She was raised in Gaastra, MI and graduated from high school in 1949. Josephine was united in marriage to Edward Stachowicz on August 30, 1952 at Crystal Falls, MI and they were blessed with two daughters, Joan and Charlene. Josephine was employed by Kid Country Day Care, but her main vocation in life was caring for her husband and daughters.  In her later years, Josephine cared for her ailing husband at home for several years. She was a volunteer for the Missouri Baptist Hospital Auxiliary and a very active member, including a board member of the Sullivan Senior Center. In her free time, Josephine enjoyed her cats and reading. She was known as a great cook and was known for her wonderful spaghetti. Josephine was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. 

Josephine is survived by her daughters, Joan Barber and husband, Ken, of Sullivan, MO, and Charlene Woodcock and husband, Bruce, of Stanton, MO; one grandson, Bryce Barber of Union, MO; special friend, Leonard Blomberg of Sullivan; special adopted daughter, Annette Isgriggs of Sullivan, MO; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stachowicz; her parents, Leo and Lena (Pedron) Pangrazzi; four brothers, Joseph, Louis, Guido and Louis II Pangrazzi; three sisters, Angeline Capello, Emma Dallafior and Josephine Pangrazzi; and special friend, Bob Eiring. 

Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Sullivan. Interment followed in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., on Tuesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel.
