Jerrie Michelle Fowler
Michelle Fowler, age 52, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at her daughter’s home.
Michelle was born on September 18, 1966 in Ellisville, Missouri, to Curtis and Ruby (Layne) Palmer. She grew up and attended school in Sullivan, graduating in 1984. Michelle married Mike Fowler in 1987 and they were blessed with two children, Shelly and Jason. They settled in the Sullivan area and Michelle worked at various factory jobs, including Harmon Becker. She was a manager at the Mobil gas station on Springfield Road for a while and then she worked at Henniges Automotive in New Haven until she was no longer able to work due to her illness. Michelle had a very strong work ethic and was always serving and caring for others.
Michelle had many hobbies, which included: gardening, camping and swimming. She loved spending time outdoors and was always mentioning that she couldn’t get enough sunshine. She enjoyed attending concerts and had a very special love for her cat, Roger. Michelle especially loved her grandsons, Cayden, Collin & Jackson. Her most recent highlight was this past July, when she enjoyed her first trip to the beach with her family.
Michelle is survived by her two children, Jason Fowler and wife Jessica of Sullivan, and Shelly Seibert and husband Danny of Washington, MO; three grandsons, Cayden and Collin Fowler, and Jackson Seibert; three brothers, James Palmer and wife Jeanine of Sullivan, Dan Palmer and wife Diane of Sullivan, and Don Palmer of Cuba, MO; two sisters, Stella Rose and husband Mike of Union, MO, and Sharon Brand and husband Jim of Sullivan; numerous nieces & nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Ruby (Layne) Palmer; one sister, Cathy Moss; and sister-in-law, Kathy Palmer.
A Celebration of Life Gathering and BBQ will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Shooting Match Building, located next to the Sullivan Eagles Hall on Acid Mine Rd.
Memorial contributions, in memory of Michelle, can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
