Jeanette I. Moss

Jeanette I. Moss, age 89, of Sullivan, Mo, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. 

Jeanette Irene Copeland was born on June 6, 1930 in Salem, MO, the daughter of Raymond and Gladys (Bray) Copeland. Her family moved to Sullivan when she was still a little girl. Jeanette grew up and attended school in Sullivan. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Moss on March 9, 1948 and to their union four children were born:  Bobby Sue, Juanita Kay, Patty and William. They raised their family at the Strauser Place that belonged to Robert’s family. Jeanette was a self-employed Beautician and ran her beauty shop from home for many years. Robert and Jeanette also owned the Spring Bluff Store for many years. Jeanette was very active in her church, Spring Bluff Baptist. She loved sewing and provided her family with many of her creations through the years. 

Jeanette is survived by her four children: Bobby Sue Emert and husband, Dennis, of Sullivan, MO, Juanita “Kay” Tune of Sullivan, MO, Patty Schoenenman and husband, Bill, of St. Clair, MO, and William “Bill” Moss and wife, Diane, of Sullivan, MO; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Moss; her parents, Raymond and Gladys Copeland; two sisters, Genevieve & Geneva; and son-in-law, James Tune.

Funeral Services were conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Bob Murphy and Jimmie Ray Dace as the officiants. Burial followed in Cave Spring Cemetery in Sullivan.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
