Jean Aileen Kirby

Jean Aileen Kirby, age 93, of Griffin, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 2019 at Brightmoor Nursing Home.

Jean was born in Oklahoma City, OK on December 30, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester William Sappington and Grace Madeline Dyckman, and husband Joseph J. Kirby; brother, Chet Sappington. She loved to read, to watch John Wayne movies, and she loved San Francisco, California.

She is survived by daughter Barbara Jackson; grandchildren Bobby Jackson, Ginger Jackson and Joseph Jackson; sister Vera Feager; brother Bob Sappington; close friend Carol Jones and husband Arthur; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. with Reverend Gene Walton officiating.
