Goals In Life

Dear Editor:

Whether we realize it or not, chances are that everyone of us has a goal in life, something that we are working towards. It may be getting that college degree, buying a car, purchasing a home, gaining wealth, or maybe it is finding happiness. What do we dream about and what do we live for?

Let us thin about that which is more important than anything else. Where does our mind go to when thinking about the future? Whatever our goal in life is, what difference will reaching that goal make one hundred years from now?

There is a goal that will make a great difference for us, the goal of living for and serving Jesus according to his will which we find in our Bibles. When we trust in and obey Jesus, where we give our lives to him in obedience to his will, we will be with him not only one hundred years from now but for all of eternity. What a wonderful goal to strive for and to attain.
