Glenn A. Wilcox, age 69, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Life Care Center of Sullivan.

Glenn Alan was born on August 15, 1949 in Sullivan, MO, to George and Doris “Betty” (Stevens) Wilcox.  He grew up and attended and graduated from St. Anthony School in 1963. He Graduated SFB in 1967. Glenn honorably served his country in the United States Navy in 1969 and was honorably discharged. He graduated from UMSL, with a history degree, in 1974. He then went to Rolla Jewelry School.  Glenn started his career at Wilcox Jewelers, as a bench jeweler, in 1975. He graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in 1980, and established himself as an appraiser of diamonds and gemstones.  Thirty-nine years and thousands of repairs, remounts and designs later, Glenn retired in September of 2014.

Glenn is survived by his mother, Betty Wilcox of Sullivan; one brother, Brian Wilcox and wife Marlys of Sullivan; one sister, Valerie Aufderheide of St. Peters, MO; nieces and nephews, Morgan Keence and husband Anthony of O’Fallon, MO, Heidi Wilcox of Sullivan, Clark Wilcox and significant other, Nicole, of Sullivan, Lydia Stack and husband Jonathan of Sullivan, and Madeline Wilcox of Sullivan; great-niece and nephew, Everlee Keence and Sean Stack; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Wilcox, and one sister, Lisa Wilcox.

It was Glenn’s wish to be cremated.  A private family service will take place at a later time. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan and Bourbon, MO.
