Gerald Johns

Gerald Johns, age 74, of Villa Ridge, MO, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home. 

Gerald Clifton Johns was born on November 20, 1943 in Warrensburg, MO, to the late John P. and Beatrice Johns. He grew up and attended school in Warrensburg, before moving to Kirkwood. He went on to attend Washington University and graduated in 1966. Gerald was united in marriage to Sandra Campbell on July 30, 1977, in St. Louis, MO.  He was employed by Washington University School of Medicine in the Biomedical Computer Lab and retired after 40 years of service.  Gerald loved plants, especially orchids, enjoyed music (opera and pipe organs) and photography. Gerald and Sandy loved traveling together over the years, they especially liked San Francisco. 

Gerald is survived by his wife, Sandra Johns of Villa Ridge; one brother, Eric Johns and wife Sharry of Bridgeton, MO; one sister, Candace Johns of Kirkwood, MO; one Aunt, Joan Fitterling of Warrensburg, MO; father-in-law, Junior Campbell of Sullivan; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Beatrice (Galloway) Johns.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place and private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
