Gary L. Holman

Gary Holman, age 67, of Bourbon, MO passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Gary Lee Holman was born on December 30, 1951 in St. James, MO, to Sidney and Vivian (Rogers) Holman. He grew up in St. James and attended school there, before moving to California with his family and graduating high school there. Gary worked as a welder at Kelly Pipe in California before returning to Missouri. In 1986, Gary went to work for the Husky Corporation as an assembly worker and continued working there until 2016, when poor health forced him into an early retirement. He married Pamela Elder on July 18, 1992 in Sullivan, Missouri. He quickly became a beloved and committed father, helping raise Pam’s children, Scott and Katie.

Gary cherished being and grandpa and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Through the years, Gary also enjoyed fishing, working and organizing his garage, and relaxing at home in his chair.

Gary is survived by his wife, Pam of Bourbon; two children: Scott Chandler of Hazel Park, MI and Katie Mueller and husband, Michael of Bourbon; a brother, Robert Holman of Sullivan; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Holman; and a sister, Teresa Edgmond.
