Fred L. Bandy, 98, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on July 14, 2017 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, MO.

Fred L. Bandy was born on October 4, 1918 to William E. and Bonnie M. (Manion) Bandy in Sullivan, MO. He grew up attending Sullivan schools and then he honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Fred was united in marriage to Virginia H. Payne on July 5, 1941 in Rolla, MO. Of this union, one daughter Carolyn was born. After the death of Virginia’s sister, Fred and Virginia adopted Virginia’s niece Mary Ann and raised her as their own. Fred was employed by Ramsey Corporation for many years and after that, he had a part-time job driving a dump truck and he loved it! Fred enjoyed gardening, traveling and going to St. Louis to eat out. He had a very good and long life. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Fred is survived by his two daughters, Carolyn Zimmerman and husband, Mel, of Springfield, IL; Mary Ann Binsbacher and husband, Bob, of Chandler, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Pennock of Sullivan, MO; Golden Miller of Sullivan, MO; other relatives and many friends.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia H. (Payne) Bandy; two brothers, Boardman Bandy and Wilbur Bandy; two sisters, Dolly Hause and Kathryn Mendenhall; four sisters-in-law, Louis Bandy, Opal Tourville, Anna Ray and Mae Wymer; three brothers-in-law, Edgar Payne, Herman Joseph and Kavel Sullivan.

Funeral Services were conducted 11 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.

Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
