Franklin LaVerne ‘Frank’ Bridgeman

May 5, 1936-February 22, 2019

Franklin LaVerne “Frank” Bridgeman, 82, Martinsville, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.

He was born on Tuesday, May 5, 1936 in Berryman, Missouri to the late Frank Otto Bridgeman and Susie Mae (Jones) Verme.

Frank was a truck driver for Yellow Freight and retired in 1999. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge, both in Fenton, Missouri. Was an active member of the “Hoosier A's” model A Club.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Inez (Cheatwood) Bridgeman, whom he married on May 14, 1957; son, L.G. Bridgeman of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; sisters, Evelyn Plant, Shirley Blankenship, Marilyn Maupin and husband Jim and Carolyn Klein and husband Buddy all of Sullivan, Missouri, Debbie Starks and husband Mike of Cuba, Missouri; grandchildren, Caleb Bridgeman, Keegan Bridgeman, Quinton Bridgeman, Krisanne Bridgeman and Casey Bridgeman; four great grandchildren.

Frank was also preceded in death by a son, Russell D. Bridgeman.

Visitation was held at Costin Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 5 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 6 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services followed at 11 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Ken Hayden officiating.

Burial with military honors will be at Nebo Memorial Park.
