Floyd L. Emily
Floyd L. Emily, 74, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan.
Floyd Lee Emily was born on November 18, 1943 to Anthony and Erma (Missey) Emily in Richwoods, MO. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan. Floyd started in the family Well Drilling business as a young man and eventually became a talented welder. On December 15, 1968, Floyd was united in marriage to Carolyn Granger in Sullivan and they were blessed with two children, Bud and Kelly. Floyd and Carolyn shared nearly 50 years of marriage together. Floyd enjoyed working in his well drilling business, hunting and fishing. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Granger) Emily of Sullivan, MO; two children, Bud Emily of Sullivan, MO and Kelly Lindsey (David) of Paoli, IN; six grandchildren, Heather Shelton, Blaine Emily, Shelby Emily and Ben Emily all of Sullivan, MO; Emily and James Lindsey both of Paoli, IN; two brothers, Jim Emily (Cynthia) and Tony Emily (Janet) all of Sullivan, MO; one sister, Lois Easter of OK; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Erma (Missey) Emily; one brother, Don Emily; three sisters, Wilma Ruwwe, Jackie Roe and Erma Jean Emily.
It was Mr. Emily’s desire to be cremated. Services will be held at a later date.
