Floyd A. Kitchen

Floyd A. Kitchen of Leasburg, MO was born on Thursday, September 9, 1937 in Leasburg, MO to Ralph Edward Kitchen and Elsie Margaret Licklider Kitchen. He passed away in his home on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 10 days.

Floyd married Wilma Ann Rowland on June 6, 1955 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Leasburg, MO and to this union three children were born. Floyd worked as a carpenter with Behlmann Builders of St. Louis, MO for many years and was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local #2298 of Rolla, MO. Floyd was very much an outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting, trapping, gigging, fishing and running his foxhounds. He was a member of the Missouri Mountain Men Association. Floyd will be missed greatly by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ruth Cartwright; brother Edwin Kitchen; brothers-in-law Tony Kauffman, Dave (Thelma) Rowland, Marvin Ware, and Ed Carlisle; sister-in-law Betty Enloe; granddaughter Ashlea Nicole Kitchen; and great grandson Bennett Kitchen.

He is survived by his wife Wilma Kitchen of Leasburg, MO; children Sherry Fife of Bourbon, MO, Floyd W. (Tina) Kitchen and Mark (Tiffany) Kitchen all of Leasburg, MO; sister Charlene Kauffman and brother Marvin (Delores) Kitchen all of St. Louis, MO; sisters-in-law Cleo Carlisle and Viola Ware all of Cuba, MO, brothers-in-law Norman Cartwright of Rolla, MO, Carl (Ruth) Lee of St. Louis, MO, Allen Enloe of St. Louis, MO, Joe (Debbie) Rowland of Colorado Springs, CO, and Sam Rowland of Waynesville, MO; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and Memorial Service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Pastor Chad Wisdom officiating. Arrangements under the care of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
