Faye C. Burnett

Faye C. Burnett, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on her 100th birthday, Friday, November 3, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Faye was born on November 3, 1917 in Sullivan, MO to Andrew and Maude (Frank) Baker. On March 18, 1947 she was united in marriage to James E. Burnett. James and Faye made their home and raised their family in St. Louis. After her children were grown, Faye was employed in retail. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining and was known for her apple pie. Mrs. Burnett was a dedicated Christian and was a member of the Assemblies of God church all of her life. She also played clarinet in the church orchestra.

Mrs. Burnett is survived by two children, Bruce Burnett and wife Linda of St. Louis and Fern Burnett of Ballwin, MO; two grandchildren, David Burnett and wife Mari of St. Louis and Linda Doby and husband Scott of Florissant, MO; one great-granddaughter, Natalie Doby; one brother, Tommy Baker of AZ; three sisters, Mary Beebe of Joplin, MO; Martha Jean Phipps of Kansas City, MO; and Brenda Cochran of Ellijay, GA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Burnett; her parents, Andrew and Maude (Frank) Baker; two brothers, Rolla and Glen Baker; and one sister, Fern Nininger.

Graveside services were conducted 12 noon, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan with Pastor Jared Stoner officiating.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
