Erma N. Keeney

Erma N. Keeney, age 83, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Freene Valley of Owensville. 

Erma Nell was born on February 2, 1935 to Forrest and Pearlie Acree in Mobile, AL. She grew up and attended school in Mobile, moving to St. Louis, MO with her Mom as a young woman. She was united in marriage to Eugene Keeney in 1952 and four children were born to her union: Elaine, Dianne, Christine and Eugene, Jr.  In 1962, the Keeney family made their home in Sullivan. While Erma was raising her family, she worked for Sullivan High school as a cook. She loved to cook and even worked as a Chef. She also enjoyed planting flowers and watching her favorite television shows, including, the Price is Right. Erma loved her dogs and playing Bingo. 

She is survived by two daughters, Christine Kramer of Sullivan and Elaine Juergens of Columbia; six grandchildren, Eric, Duane and Eugene Kramer, Monicka, Kara and Tori Jo; 8 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Keeney, Sr.; two children, Eugene Keeney, Jr. and Diane McLaughin; her parents, Forrest and Pearlie Acree; one brother, Don Acree; two sisters, Mardel and Estelle Acree.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation from 12-2 p.m.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan and Bourbon, MO.
