Ella ‘Maxine’ Williams
Maxine Williams, 85, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her home.
Ella Maxine was born on August 14, 1932 in Pacific, MO, to the late William R. and Mary Daisy (Littrell) Crow. She grew up and was united in marriage to Herschel Williams on March 4, 1950 in Arkansas. Of this union, five children were born. They raised their family in Sullivan. Maxine stayed home to care for the family. Over the years, she enjoyed traveling, shopping, dining out, taking drives in the country with her grandson Bobby and watching the ducks and geese at the Sullivan City Lake. Maxine will be missed by her family and friends.
Maxine is survived by four children, Ronald Williams and wife Robin of Sullivan, MO; Georgia Williams of Sullivan, MO; Donna Shoemaker and husband Richard of Sullivan, MO; and Carol Simmons and husband Danny of Sullivan, MO; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Charles Asplin of Sullivan; three sister-in-law’s, Ruby Witt of Lebanon, MO; Marie Crow of Sullivan; and Ruthann Williams of Sullivan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Williams; and infant child, Robin Lee Williams; her parents, William R. and Mary Daisy (Littrell) Crow; four brothers, George Crow, Walter Crow, Paul Crow and Bill Crow; and five sisters, Naomi Ryerson, Maggie Richards, Opal Fritz, Dorothy Asplin and infant sister, Leona.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor John Blackmore officiating. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
