Elizabeth A. Vagedes

Elizabeth A. Vagedes (Watts), 76, of St. Clair, passed away, Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at her home. 

On November 25, 1942 she was born to the union of Henry Watts and Kathleen (Murray) in St. Louis. 

Elizabeth worked as a mail carrier, nurse and spent some time as a nun. 

She is preceded in death by her second husband Joseph Vagedes, first husband Dan Young and one brother Jim Watts. 

Elizabeth was a devoted mother and wife. She was such a loving and giving person. Elizabeth enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, especially the hummingbirds. She loved watching TV and loving on the cats and dogs. Elizabeth also loved lighthouses. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jen’nai Young of St. Clair; one stepson, David Vagedes and wife Donna of Fletcher; stepdaughters; two brothers, Bill Watts of St. Charles and Henry and wife Mickey of Colorado; one sister, Mary Anne Pritzker of St. Clair; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union. Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union.
