Earl M. Griffith

Earl M. Griffith, age 77, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Salem Care Center in Salem, MO.

Earl Griffith was born on September 21, 1941 in Valley Park, MO, the late Amos Griffith and Evelyn Franklin.  He grew up and attended school in Sullivan. As a boy, he attended a small country school near Pea Ridge, MO. Earl started working construction in his younger years, eventually settling on commercial truck driving.  He eventually retired in 2004, and enjoyed spending time with all of his siblings, watching Cardinals baseball, fishing, and travelling. He fathered four children in his life, and truly loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Earl is survived by his daughter, Shelly Richardson and husband ,Dannie, of Salem, MO; five brothers, Melvin Griffith and wife, Pam, of Salem, MO, Dale Griffith and wife, Paula, of Cuba, MO, Alvin Griffith of Springfield, MO, Brian Griffith of Rolla, MO, and Ronnie Griffith of Utah; two sisters, Judy Bell of Sullivan, MO, and Linda Lewis and husband, Frank, of Festus, MO; three grandchildren, Brian Stellman and wife, Jessica, of Salem, MO, Andrew Stellman of Monnet, MO, and Kayla Richardson of Salem, MO; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; one brother, Billy Griffith; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Griffith and Kathy Neff.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. 

Funeral Services were conducted 12 Noon, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home, with Frank Lewis as the officiant. Burial followed in Reedville Cemetery in Sullivan.
