Earl C. Williams

Earl C. Williams, 81, of Cuba, MO, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Willow Rose Rehab & Health Care in Jerseyville, Illinois.

Earl Conrad Williams was born on July 1, 1936 to the late Roy L. and Edith (Kohler) Williams in St. Louis, MO. He grew up and attended school in Wellston. Earl honorably served our country in the United State Air Force from 1955-1959. Earl married his first wife, Arlene Ackley, and of this union came their three children: Barb, Earl K. and Mark. In 1972, they moved to Sullivan to raise their family. Earl worked for Ramsey Corp. for many years and Ace Manufacturing, from which he retired in 2002. On June 22, 1994, Earl was united in marriage to his second wife, Gayle Lemcke in Steelville, MO. Earl enjoyed his later years, working at Onondaga Cave State Park, fishing and gardening and attending dog shows at Purina Farms. Above all, Earl loved spending time with his family. He will be missed dearly by his family and closest friends.

Earl is survived by his wife, Gayle (Lemcke) Williams; two sons, Earl K. Williams and wife Faith of Florida; Mark S. Williams and wife Lynn of Jerseyville, IL; one daughter, Barb Miller and husband Robert of Grimesland, NC; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene Ackley; his father, Roy L. Williams and his mother, Edith Kohler.

Funeral Services were conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.

Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
