Donna R. Isgriggs, age 79, of Sullivan, MO passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Life Care Center in Sullivan.

Donna Rae was born September 29, 1940 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Donald Ray and Ruth (Gaines) Williams. She was united in marriage to William Isgriggs and they were blessed with two daughters, Cindy and Debby. Donna was a military wife, living all over the country. Bill retired from active duty in 1979 and they made their home in Sullivan. Bill and Donna would later divorce. Donna was employed as Head Cook at Sullivan Elementary School, manager at Shoney’s in Sullivan, and lastly, in the commissary for the Department of Corrections, retiring from there in 2006. Donna was a very creative person and a wonderful cook. She loved to entertain and was the perfect hostess, capable of whipping up a gourmet meal in a moments notice. She loved saving recipes and had several file cabinets full of them, she also collected cook books. Donna was a believer in Jesus Christ and although she wasn’t able to attend church in the last few years, she enjoyed watching Saturday church on the television. She was a kind and generous person, loved by her children and extended family.

Donna is survived by her  two daughters, Cindy Garner and husband, Carl, and Debby Mercer, all of Sullivan; six grandchildren:  John Garner and wife, Carrie, Mike Garner and wife, Kris, Jamie Isgriggs, all of Sullivan, MO, Jessica Hercules and husband, Eric, of Strafford, MO, Alyssa Hayes and friend, Ian Montgomery, Jake Mercer and wife, Sarah, all of Sullivan, MO; great-grandchildren: Paige Bieller and fiancé, Dustin Conner, of Sullivan, MO, Caitlyn Coulter and husband, Dylan, of Branson, MO, Erika, Michaela, Justyce and Emmett Garner, Josh Carter, Aurora and Sky Scantlan, Elijah and Elle Hercules, Noah Hayes and Lincoln Montgomery, Owen and Olivia Mercer; great-great-grandchildren, Emelia Conner and Kyran Coulter; nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ruth (Gaines) Williams; and one sister, Marilyn Williams.

A Celebration of Life gathering was held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
