Donna K. Payne
Donna K. Payne, age 63, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.
Donna Kay Dobbs was born on February 25, 1955 to Raymond and Ernestine (Maness) Dobbs in Bonne Terre, MO. She grew up in the Lead Belt area, specifically near Potosi. Donna’s mom passed away when she was just the tender age of ten. After her passing, Donna lived with and worked for a nearby family. Donna was united in marriage to Jerry Payne on November 15, 1971 and they were blessed with 46-years of marriage and caring for each other. Jerry and Donna resided in the Sullivan and Bourbon area since 1979. She was employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant, working mostly in Nursing Homes and training other CNA’s. She really enjoyed being a homemaker, decorating her home for the holidays and going to yard sales. Donna was a very loving, caring person and will be missed by her family and friends.
Donna is survived by her husband, Jerry Payne of Bourbon; two brothers, Larry Dobbs and wife Connie and David Dobbs and wife Kim, all of Steelville, MO; two sisters, Linda Courtway and husband Tim of Cadet, MO and Bernice Sansoucie of OH; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ernestine (Maness) Dobbs and one brother, Eberly Dobbs.
It was Donna’s wish to be cremated. A Memorial Mass was celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church in Japan, MO.
