Don Adams

Don Adams, age 70, of Leasburg, MO, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Donald Gene “Don” was born on March 20, 1949 in Lancaster, KY, the son of John Henry and Myrtle Rae (Bolten) Adams. He attended grade school at Camp Dick Robinson in Lancaster, KY, later moving to Missouri in 1958 and attending Marquand Zion School in Marquand, MO. Don honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, from 1968 to 1972, at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, IL. He was proud to serve as a jet engine mechanic and attained the rank of Sergeant. 

Don was united in marriage to Jeannine Mottert on September 1, 1984 at Our Lady Queen of Peace in House Springs, MO. Don and Jeannine were blessed with four children: Aubri, Kyle, Leighanne and Brittany. Don was employed by the former Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, MO and retired from there. 

Don was a man of few words. He enjoyed farming, John Deere tractors, Sunday football games and was an avid craftsman. Don, through his humility and simplicity, was able to convey what was most important in life, family. The loves of his life were his wife, Jeannine, his children, and he had a very special love for his grandchildren. 

Don is survived by his wife, Jeannine Adams of Leasburg, MO; four children: Aubri Sinnott and husband Terry of Rolla, MO, Kyle Adams and wife Kim of Eureka, MO, Leighanne Price and Aaron Head of Sullivan, MO and Brittany Baumgardner and husband Trey of Rolla, MO; eight grandchildren: Olivia, Jordyne, Cora, Maggie, Easton, Tyler, Jade and Trey; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Lamb of Danville, KY; his dog, Pearl and grand dog, Chip; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Adams; seven brothers: John, Willie, George, Tommy, Hubert, Virgil and Robert Adams; three sisters: Mary, Bobbi and Fannie; and one son-in-law, Jacobe Price. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to: St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  

Graveside services were private.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan, MO.
