David A. Summers
David Summers, age 55, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO.
David Allen was born on May 27, 1964 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Robert Roy Summers, Sr. and Mary Lou (Jones) Summers. He grew up and attended schools in the St. Louis area, including McKinley High School. As a young man, David went to work at Shamrock before getting into landscape work. He was employed many years with Lambert Landscaping. In 1997, David moved to Bourbon to make his final home. He loved being at home and enjoyed just hanging out in his back yard. David liked spending time outdoors and playing with his dog, Bella. He will be missed by many friends and family.
David is survived by two brothers, Steven Summers (Mary Ann Rue) of Sullivan, MO, and Robert Summers, Jr. of Sullivan, MO; one sister, Wanda Lucas and husband Tom of House Springs, MO; nieces and nephews: Katie Summers, Tommy Lucas, Becky Lucas, Billy Troskey and Robin Summers; and numerous great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jeff Summers and Ron Jones.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, officiated by Pastor John Blackmore. Burial followed in Buffalo Cemetery, Sullivan, MO.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
