David L. Branson
David L. Branson, age 55 of Leasburg, MO, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
David Linn was born on April 9, 1962 in Sullivan, MO to Donald D. and Ruth A. (Richters) Branson. He attended and graduated from Bourbon High School class of 1981. David owned and operated Branson Excavating for many years, which he purchased from his Dad. Most recently, he was employed by Darrah Construction as an operator. David was a generous person who loved the outdoors and animals. He could tear anything apart and put it back together. He loved his family, his Rottweiler Dominic, Harley Davidson motorcycles, giving people a hard time and getting it back. He was a “David” who pretended to be Goliath, but he was really kind and loving on the inside. David was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon and will be missed by his family who loved him dearly.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth A. Branson of Bourbon; one brother, Dale Branson and wife, Penny of Bourbon; two sisters, Dawn Roberts and husband, Richard of Bourbon and Debra Radford and husband, Shannon of Bourbon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
David was preceded in death by his father, Donald D. Branson and his Rottweiler, Dominic.
A memorial service was conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon with Pastor Ed Carter officiating. The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, at Calvary Baptist Church.
