David A. Britton

David A. Britton, 62, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital Sullivan.

David Avon was born on August 5, 1955 in Steelville, Missouri to Junior and Dora (Copling) Britton. He grew up and attended school in Cherryville and Sullivan. David was employed early in his life at several local shoe factories. He was known as a Jack of all trades; master of none. David worked for several farms in the area, including Hilo Farms, where he worked for many years.

On August 30, 1985 he was married to Ravanda Cox. David loved hunting, fishing, raising chickens and living in the country.

David is survived by his wife, Ravanda (Cox) Britton; two children, Derrick Britton of Sullivan, MO; Kristina Pilkenton of St. Clair, MO; five grandchildren, Hunter Britton, Kallie Pilkenton, Kade Pilkenton, Mikyla Zeigler and Mikenzy Zeigler; two brothers, Scott Britton and wife Sue of Leasburg, MO; Larry Britton of Sullivan, MO; one sister, Teresa Voss and husband Robert of Sullivan, MO; other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Junior A. and Dora S. (Copling) Britton; three siblings, Dennis Britton, Patricia Mastin and Elsie Brake.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO with Pastor Matt Dudley officiating.

Visitation were held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home.
