Daniel D. Scott, 26, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Daniel Dale Scott was born in Sullivan, MO, on September 7, 1993, to Sam and Michelle (Parrish) Scott. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan, graduating in the class of 2012. As a young man, he worked at ChaseCo and was a self-taught mechanic throughout the years. Those who knew Daniel, knew that he loved music. Throughout high school, he was active in the choir, show choir, and loved to play guitar. He owned and managed Westgate Music Store in Sullivan for several years and then became manager at Eureka Rental.
Daniel was a big Johnny Cash fan and had a huge personality. He was known for being fiercely competitive in sports but always had a spot in his heart for the underdog. Daniel loved nothing more than becoming a father to his daughter, Linley, on September 21, 2019. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and many friends.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Sam and Michelle Scott of Sullivan, MO; his companion, Jenna Theobald & their daughter, Linley Scott, of Pacific, MO; a brother, Robert Scott and wife Jennifer of Sullivan, MO; a nephew, Barrett Scott of Sullivan, MO; grandparents: Robert and Wilma Scott of Sullivan, MO, Patricia Parrish of Sullivan, MO, and Bill Parrish and wife Cheryl of Kansas City, MO; several aunts and uncles: Jari Dawson and husband David of Bourbon, MO, Susan Haynes of Sullivan, MO, Cheryl White and husband David of Loveland, CO, and Johanna Warren and husband Allen of Greenville, TX; and numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Services were 2 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Grace United Methodist Church in Sullivan, with Pastor Brenda Stobbe officiating.
Visitation was 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Grace United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions in Daniel’s memory may be made to the Backpack Program at Grace United Methodist Church.
