Cora ‘Faye’ Roderique

Cora “Faye” Roderique, age 65, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. 

Cora Faye was born on August 30, 1953 in Washington, MO, the beloved daughter of Claude Ernest Roderique, Sr. and Margueritte Leona (Rulo) Roderique.  Faye, as she was known, attended Autumn Hill State School and graduated in 1974. She was employed at the Sheltered Workshop for many years. Faye loved people watching, weaving pot holders and rugs, and doing puzzles. She also enjoyed bowling and participated in Special Olympic bowling. She was never known to turn down a camping trip to the state park.  Faye enjoyed going to Branson, and everyone who knew her will remember her phone calls to family and friends.  Faye loved everyone she met and she was very loved by her family and friends. 

Faye is survived by her mother, Margueritte “Maggie” Roderique of Sullivan, MO; one brother, Claude “Ernie” Roderique, Jr.; three sisters, Janice Edgar and husband, Bill, of Springfield, MO, Cheryl Roderique of Springfield, MO, and Cheri Thexton and husband, Cliff, of Sullivan, MO; nieces and nephews, Taylor and Jordan Thexton, Emily Bernard and husband, Julien, and Stacie Viele and husband, Jake; great nieces and nephews, Reid, Clara and Millie Viele and Margaux Bernard; special friends, John and Donnie Thexton, Paul and Mandy Blankenship, Jean Mueller, Elmer Jackson, and Terri Driver; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Roderique, Sr. 

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Kenny Todd as the officiant. Interment followed in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. 

Memorial Contributions may be made to Sullivan Special Olympics.
